To: My benign foetus Regarding: The priest, lack of food

Here's some common ground: I just got my NCEA results back. Well I passed. I got merit for my art panels. Is Siobhan there? what did you get? But English was a miserable result, considering I thought it was my best subject. I got two merits, like four achieveds, and two not achieveds. Which was disappointing. In fact, I think I did better in maths. Mrs Craven made maths difficult and somewhat boring, but I found her to be quite intelligent after engaging her in a philosophical discussion. And Mr Ruge I liked, but couldn't get myself to listen to him unless he was talking about Alfred Lord Tennyson or blurting every little trivial piece of information he knew about Timmy Leary, the sixties, or A Clockwork Orange in order to impress some of our lady pupils. I don't know if they realized he wasn't old enough to actually know what was going on. Taking part in class discussion, or generally being pounced on, was another story altogether.

But HEY! An enjoyable supermarket experience cleared my airways. Try: Sweet young thing genuinely interested in my personal enjoyment of the menial task of shopping, who passes change by hand just because she knows you want to touch her hand. And was obviously pleased with a response to "How are you?" that made perfect sense in English. Not "Good, yourself?" because I was informed by an intelligent person that "No, you are not GOOD, you are FINE".

I saw Dracula with Bela Lugosi and then the Spanish version of the same film which was made as a way around doing Spanish subtitles. The spanish version, however more aesthetically pleasing, was let down by their Dracula's round face making evil expressions comical. Bela was amazing.

I know we "Catcher in the Rye" enthusiasts are snobbish bastards, but assuming someone knows what I'm saying: I've read about all that Mark Chapman-John Lennon-Catcher in the Rye stuff, but I've never heard mention of what to me was the most obvious connection. John Lennon and Mark Chapman both married a Japanese woman, and Mark didn't do it because of John Lennon, he married her before his 'obsession' began. And in the novel, Holden meets up with an old friend called Carl Luce. Luce says he's seeing an 'eastern' woman because he's more satisfied with the 'eastern' way of life. Holden agrees, after annoying Luce by talking about sex too much. Cold beer, asian women?

This is actually... Really funny.. Really witty really insightful a little bit sad and tears a lot of ass. You whole blog, I mean.

Ok, so I like.. Ambiance (lol) right? Well this is perfect, it's so innocent, so wet, and there's heaps of.. Fantasia in it.

In short, your blog was/is really good and I have had more fun reading it than I had reading Rimbaud.
So thank you.
